Nollywood Stars Flock to Ekiti for Odunlade Adekola’s Father’s Christian Wake
Top Nollywood actors gathered in Otun Ekiti to honor the late Pastor N.A. Adekola, father of popular actor Odunlade Adekola, during his Christian wake on Tuesday.
Pastor Adekola, who passed away in July at the age of 84, is being laid to rest with a series of ceremonies across Ekiti and Ogun states.
The Service of Songs took place on August 18 at Christ Apostolic Church, Akole, Abeokuta, while the wake and lying-in-state were held on August 20 in Otun Ekiti. The interment and thanksgiving service are scheduled for August 21.
Stars including Ibrahim Chatta, Muyiwa Ademola, Eniola Ajao, and Ireti Osayemi joined family, friends, and well-wishers to pay their respects. Odunlade Adekola, who announced his father’s passing on Instagram in July, has received an outpouring of condolences from fans and colleagues across the country.
