The Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) has announced the suspension of eight players from Edo and Delta rugby clubs due to disciplinary infractions during league matches held at Adolor College in Benin City.

This decision underscores the federation’s commitment to maintaining discipline and governance within the sport.

The suspended players include Eselekhomwen Nelson Hope and Christian Eleberi from Edo RFC, along with Isidor Okafor from Delta RFC.

Each player will face a two-match suspension that will take effect from the upcoming Super Six playoffs and extend into the 2024/25 regular league season.

The NRFF’s action reflects ongoing efforts to uphold standards of conduct among players and ensure fair play within the league.

The federation has emphasized that such measures are essential for fostering a positive environment in Nigerian rugby, as they work towards enhancing the sport’s reputation and integrity.

As the league progresses, the NRFF is expected to monitor compliance closely and take further actions if necessary to prevent future disciplinary breaches.
