Nurses Forum Demands Urgent Probe Into Alleged Student Abuse at Ekiti Nursing College

The Elegant Nurses Forum has raised alarm over alleged intimidation, abuse, and rights violations of students at the College of Nursing Science, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH). The forum is calling on the Ekiti State Government to launch an immediate investigation into the claims.

In a statement signed by Nurse Thomas Abiodun Olamide, the group condemned the conduct of the Students Affairs Officer, Mrs. Adaramola Bukola Ayodele, who has been accused of verbally abusing students, making unfounded accusations, and repressing student rights.

The forum also called for her resignation, citing that her continued presence in the role poses a threat to students’ mental health, academic progress, and the institution’s reputation.

“Instead of being a mother figure, she has become a source of distress. We urge the government to investigate thoroughly and take appropriate action,” the forum stated.

The Elegant Nurses Forum pledged its full support for the affected students, standing for respect, empathy, and justice in nursing education.
