NYSC Announces December 18 Passing-Out Date for 2024 Batch C Stream II Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps has fixed Thursday, December 18, 2025, as the official Passing-Out Ceremony for members of the 2024 Batch C Stream II.

In a statement released on Tuesday by the corps’ Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the management approved a low-key ceremony that will see Certificates of National Service issued simultaneously across all local government areas in the country.

According to the statement, activities leading up to the event include Job Advisory and Counselling sessions organised by the Corps in collaboration with partner agencies. Corps members will also complete their final clearance forms, supervised by Zonal Inspectors.

The Director-General of the Scheme, Olakunle Nafiu, wished the outgoing Corps Members success as they conclude their service year. He encouraged them to uphold the core values of discipline, patriotism, and community service as they transition into post-service life.

Established in 1973, the scheme was designed to promote national unity, foster integration, and equip young Nigerian graduates with practical experience through community development, skills acquisition, and postings to strategic sectors such as education, health, and agriculture.

The Passing-Out Ceremony marks the end of the one-year compulsory national service for graduates under 30, following their orientation camp, primary assignment, and community development service.
