Odumodublvck Says Minister Wike Has Potential to Succeed in Music Industry
Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has stirred social media buzz after suggesting that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, possesses the vocal qualities and charisma to thrive as a music artist.
Popular Nigerian rapper, Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, known by his stage name Odumodublvck, has publicly stated that Minister Nyesom Wike could make a successful transition into the music industry.
In a tweet that has since gone viral, the rapper praised the minister’s vocal tone and presence, saying:
“I wish say Wike dey do music. I hear something in his vocals. I’m not joking.”
Wike, who previously served as the Governor of Rivers State from 2015 to 2023, gained a reputation for blending governance with musical entertainment, often accompanied by a live band during public events.
Since becoming FCT Minister, he has continued this musical tradition, relocating the band to Abuja, where they now perform at official functions.
At a recent commissioning ceremony of a road project in Katampe, Wike announced plans to increase the salaries of the band members, a gesture that further endeared him to music lovers.
The band’s viral renditions As E Dey Sweet Us, Agreement Is Agreement, and Biggie Man have become widely recognized on social media.
“HI GUYS! MY NAME IS OMAH LAY AND I AM THE GREATEST OF MY GENERATION, I DON’T HAVE PROOFS RIGHT NOW BUT THERE WILL BE A LOT IN THE FUTURE. THANKS. YOURS TRULY, BOY ALONE.”
Odumodublvck’s and Omah Lay’s statements have generated mixed reactions across social media, with fans applauding their confidence while others debated the merit of their claims.
“I’m not joking. There’s something in Wike’s voice. He’d make a fine musician,” — Odumodublvck via X (formerly Twitter).
