Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Applauds Governor Mbah’s Achievements in Healthcare, Education, and Infrastructure
As Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State clocks 1 year in office, the good people of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Ancient Kingdom in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu have extolled his exceptional leadership qualities that have been instrumental in changing the narratives in the state.
The community made these commendations on Tuesday through a press statement signed by its Igwe Elect, Chief Aloysius Chidozie Ogbonna Jnr.
He stated that Governor Mbah has spearheaded the construction of modern and rural roads, totaling more than 71 projects, significantly enhancing connectivity and boosting economic activities within the state.
He also highlighted the successful enrollment of 200,000 residents in universal health insurance, ensuring broader access to quality healthcare.
Chief Ogbonna noted that judicial reforms under Governor Mbah’s tenure have strengthened the legal system, with a positive relationship with the legislature resulting in the passage of three new laws.
He highlighted that the governor’s commitment to providing clean water has led to the establishment of new water galleries, which have improved access to safe drinking water for many communities.
He further praised the revitalization of Hotel Presidential and the hosting of an international conference, positioning Enugu as a center for tourism and global engagement, as well as the construction of 269 smart schools and 260 type 2 hospitals across 260 political wards, which he said are clear indications of Governor Mbah’s dedication to improving education and healthcare infrastructure.
On other developmental strides, Chief Ogbonna pointed to the ongoing construction of New Enugu City aimed at modernizing the state, along with the almost completed reforms at the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu, which are geared towards transforming the institution into a hub of excellence and innovation.
In his statement, Chief Ogbonna called for continued support for Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, affirming that the people of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Ancient Kingdom stand firmly with him and endorse his policies and initiatives.
