Ogun APC Expresses Condolences Over Passing of Pioneer Female Minister Adenike Oyagbola.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has expressed its condolences to Governor Dapo Abiodun and the family of Adenike Oyagbola, Nigeria’s first female cabinet minister, who recently passed away at the age of 94.

The party highlighted her exemplary service to the nation, particularly her contributions to economic planning and women’s empowerment.

In a statement released by Publicity Secretary Tunde Oladunjoye, the APC praised Oyagbola for her remarkable career as an educationist and diplomat, noting her tenure as the Minister of National Planning from 1979 to 1983.

The party recognized her as a pioneer for women’s rights and a devoted public servant.

The statement read: “Ogun State has undeniably lost one of its treasured icons, a leader who served with unwavering dedication, leaving behind a legacy that is both inspirational and exemplary.”

The party extended its sympathies to the governor, the people of Ogun State, and the Oyagbola family, offering prayers for the eternal rest of the distinguished matriarch.
