Okocha Attributes Rivers State Political Turmoil to Judiciary Issues.

Tony Okocha, the Rivers State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has revealed that the root cause of the political crisis in Rivers State lies with the judiciary.

During a press conference held in Port Harcourt, he criticized former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, for claiming that President Bola Tinubu would not give up power in 2027.

Amaechi had previously remarked that Nigerian politicians are in the game to “steal, maim, and kill,” emphasizing that those expecting Tinubu to step down are deluding themselves.

Responding to these comments, Okocha accused Amaechi of inciting the public against the government and seeking to instigate chaos.

He further criticized Amaechi for not bringing developmental projects to the South-South region during his time in office.

“The judiciary is the underlying issue causing the political strife in Rivers State, as judges make decisions on PDP congresses despite contrary rulings from higher courts,” Okocha asserted.
