Osimhen’s Galatasaray Move in Limbo as Napoli Rejects Payment Offer

Efforts to secure Victor Osimhen’s permanent transfer from Napoli to Galatasaray have hit another roadblock, as fresh negotiations between the clubs broke down over payment structure disagreements and a proposed sell-on clause.

According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Napoli presented an offer that included €40 million upfront, €35 million in staggered payments by 2026, and a 20% sell-on clause in case of any future sale.

However, Galatasaray rejected the offer, countering with a payment schedule extending to 2027 and refused the inclusion of a sell-on clause entirely.

The Nigerian striker, who had a prolific loan spell at Galatasaray during the 2024/25 season—scoring 37 goals in 41 appearances and helping the club secure a domestic double—is reportedly eager to make the move permanent. Sources suggest Osimhen has opted out of Napoli’s pre-season camp to pressure the Italian club into finalizing the deal.

Despite Osimhen’s desire to remain in Istanbul, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis remains adamant on maintaining firm financial terms, including a controversial “anti-Italy” clause that bars Osimhen from joining any other Serie A club before 2029.

With both clubs holding their ground, Osimhen’s future remains uncertain as the transfer saga continues to unfold.
