Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma, Governor Otti described Abure as a “clown seeking relevance,” dismissing the announcement as an attempt to gain attention and tarnish his reputation.

Ekeoma urged the public to disregard what he labeled a baseless pronouncement by individuals who no longer hold legitimate authority in the party.

Ekeoma suggested that Abure’s announcement was a diversionary tactic to pre-empt accountability, as he had been recently summoned by the Caretaker Committee over allegations of misconduct.

He called on law enforcement to arrest Abure for impersonation and urged INEC to uphold the Supreme Court’s decision to maintain democratic integrity.
