In response, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has vowed to ensure that those behind the killings are swiftly brought to justice.
According to reports, the victims both indigenes of Kano were ambushed late at night by unknown assailants, without any provocation. Their deaths have sparked outrage across the state, with growing calls for justice and accountability.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf condemned the attack as “barbaric, senseless, and completely inexcusable.”

He also disclosed that he would personally lead a high-powered delegation, including family members of the deceased, to attend the funeral prayers at the National Mosque in Abuja.
