Oweh Oghe Community Hails Mbah at 53, Lauds Investments in Education, Health, Roads

The people of Oweh Oghe community in Ezeagu Local Government Area have joined the chorus of goodwill messages pouring in for Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah as he marked his 53rd birthday, describing his leadership as one that has brought visible progress to the people of Enugu State.

Speaking through one of their leaders, High Chief Ozor Obodoechi Leonard, the community praised the governor’s drive in transforming critical sectors, especially education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

They pointed to Governor Mbah’s administration’s Smart Green Schools project, which is set to feed over 300,000 school children daily from September 2025, as a bold intervention in tackling child welfare and education at once.

They also highlighted Mbah’s recent recruitment of 2,500 health workers and the completion of modern primary healthcare centres in each of the 260 electoral wards, describing these as impactful moves that are improving lives, particularly in rural areas.

High Chief Obodoechi also commended the governor for the ongoing construction of 141 urban roads and over 100 others already underway, noting that such projects are opening up new economic opportunities; while also thanking him for rehabilitating the critical 9th Mile – Eke – Ezeagu road, which he said has boosted transportation and trade for communities in Ezeagu and beyond.

Referencing the recent commendation by UNICEF, the community leader said the governor’s focus on water, sanitation, healthcare, and child welfare has not only caught the attention of global bodies but has also earned the trust of the people. He wished the governor good health and greater energy to continue steering the state towards growth and prosperity.

The entire people of Oweh Oghe community in Ezeagu Local Government Area warmly felicitate with our hardworking Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, as he celebrates his 53rd birthday. Your life is a blessing to the people of Enugu State, and your leadership continues to bring progress to every part of the state.

We are pleased with your giant strides in transforming education in Enugu. Your decision to introduce Smart Green Schools across the state, coupled with the plan to feed over 300,000 school children daily from September 2025, is a bold step towards raising healthier, well-educated children who will become the pride of our society.

Your efforts in strengthening healthcare delivery have not gone unnoticed. The upgrade of primary healthcare centres across the 260 electoral wards, recruitment of over 2,500 health workers, and provision of modern medical equipment have improved access to quality healthcare for both rural and urban dwellers. UNICEF’s recent commendation of your work speaks volumes about the results seen on ground.

We also applaud your investment in infrastructure which has given new life to Enugu’s economy and security.
