Paranormal Investigator Dan Rivera Passes Away at 54 During “Devils on the Run” Tour
The paranormal community is in mourning following the sudden death of Dan Rivera, a renowned investigator and caretaker of the infamous Annabelle doll. He was 54.
Rivera was found unresponsive in his hotel room on July 14, 2025, just a day after performing on the “Devils on the Run” tour a live event honoring the legacy of legendary ghost hunters Ed and Lorraine Warren.
Emergency responders attempted CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The exact cause of death remains unknown, pending autopsy results.
Dan Rivera was a highly respected figure in the world of paranormal investigation. He worked closely with the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR), the organization founded by the Warrens, and was regarded as a key authority on haunted artifacts.
He gained widespread recognition through appearances on television shows like “Most Haunted Places” and Netflix’s “28 Days Haunted.” His role often involved investigating supernatural phenomena and overseeing the secure handling of Annabelle, the haunted Raggedy Ann doll believed to be possessed by a malevolent entity.
Rivera’s death has shocked fans and colleagues alike, especially given his significant role in preserving the Warrens’ legacy and educating the public on paranormal safety.
