Renowned American comedian, actor, and musician Martin Mull has passed away at the age of 80. He died on Thursday at his Los Angeles residence, surrounded by his loved ones. His wife, Wendy Mull, confirmed the news on Friday, revealing that he had been battling a long illness before his demise, although the specific cause of death was not disclosed.
Mull’s daughter, Maggie Mull, a television writer and comic artist, also paid tribute to her father, announcing his passing. Martin Mull’s legacy as a comedic genius and versatile performer will be deeply missed by his fans and the entertainment industry. His remarkable career spanned multiple decades, leaving an indelible mark on the world of comedy and music.
“My dad will be deeply missed by his wife and daughter, by his friends and coworkers, by fellow artists and comedians and musicians, and —the sign of a truly exceptional person— by many, many dogs,” Maggie Mull said in an Instagram post.
Martin Mull’s co-star in the series ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch,’ Melissa Joan Hart while paying tribute to him on Instagram, described him as “a wonderful man who I am better for knowing.”
