Portable Accuses VeryDarkMan of Manipulating Mohbad’s Legacy, Demands N1 Billion for Face-Off
Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has accused activist Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), of manipulating public sentiment over the death of fellow singer Mohbad.
In a video shared on social media, Portable criticized VDM for allegedly misleading Nigerians and diverting attention from the core demands of the Justice for Mohbad campaign. He expressed disappointment over VDM’s continued attacks on actress Iyabo Ojo, who has been vocal in calling for justice in Mohbad’s case.
“VeryDarkMan, you came out deceiving Nigerians that you wanted justice for Mohbad. Now you’re dragging Iyabo Ojo. What’s her offense?” Portable asked in the video.
He further accused VDM of reversing his stance and questioned his credibility. “You’re a manipulator. You first claimed Mohbad was murdered, now you’re turning against that claim. Stop dragging the dead. Let Mohbad rest in peace.”
The singer warned Nigerians to be cautious of self-styled activists and urged the public to remain focused on justice rather than online drama.
In a bold move, Portable also revealed he rejected a ₦100 million offer to fight VeryDarkMan, stating that he would only participate in such a face-off if offered ₦1 billion instead.
