Portable and VeryDarkMan Escalate Feud with Diss Tracks and Personal Attacks

The ongoing feud between controversial singer Portable (Habib Okikiola) and activist-turned-musician VeryDarkMan (VDM) has intensified with both parties trading sharp musical attacks and personal insults that have captured the attention of fans and social media users.

The dispute, which began as a social media disagreement months ago, evolved into a heated lyrical battle with diss tracks targeting each other’s character and backgrounds.

VDM known for his activism and outspoken stance sparked the latest phase of the feud by releasing a seven-track EP that accuses Portable of theft and other allegations.

The lead diss track titled “Ole,” labels Portable as a thief referencing a previously alleged incident involving a tricycle and a phone.

Portable quickly responded, unleashing his own diss track “Oromadiye Adodi,” in which he mocked VDM’s background made personal jabs about his family, and staged a viral ritual video that drew widespread attention.

The feud has even included provocative dance moves and ritualistic performances, escalating their rivalry into one of the most talked-about celebrity beefs in Nigeria in 2025.

Fans have taken sides in the clash, eagerly following the back-and-forth exchanges that combine music, controversy, and social media spectacle.

Industry watchers note the feud resembles classic musical rivalries but warn of the potential dangers given the heated personal nature of the attacks.

As the drama unfolds, both Portable and VDM continue to dominate conversations within Nigerian Afrobeats and activist circles raising the question of how their rivalry will ultimately impact their careers and public images.
