Portable Opens Up About Going Back to School to Improve Life and Career

Nigerian street-hop artiste Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has explained his decision to return to school despite his growing fame and success.

In a video shared on Instagram, the “Zazuu Zeh” crooner spoke passionately about the importance of education, emphasizing how it can help him manage his music career more effectively while also setting a positive example for his children.

Portable revealed that he already holds an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from Kwara State Polytechnic, but never collected his certificate after completing the programme.

He explained that continuing his education is part of his desire for personal growth and societal respect.

“I wan go back to school. I want to finish my education. I dey sponsor people’s children and my own children too. I don’t want my children to be mocked that their father is illiterate,” he said.

The musician added that resuming his studies will not only enhance his professionalism but also improve his interactions with others in the entertainment industry.

“I wan go back to school so that I will be able to manage my music career better, and it will also help in my dealings with people,” he stated.

Portable’s announcement has sparked discussions online about the value of education, even for celebrities who have already achieved fame.
