POS Attendant Sparks Backlash After Mocking Former School Senior Now Selling Ponmo.

A viral video has drawn attention and sparked debate after a Point-of-Sale (POS) attendant mocked a former secondary school senior who now makes a living selling Ponmo.

The attendant, identified as Grace Edet, shared the encounter on TikTok, recounting how she recognized her ex-school senior hawking Ponmo while she was at her POS stand. In the clip, she playfully recalled her senior’s “wicked” reputation during their school days, captioning the video:

“My wicked secondary school senior that year hawking Canda now.”

The post quickly attracted mixed reactions from viewers. Some defended the senior, pointing out the profitability of her business compared to the POS work. One user wrote:

“If you check properly, she probably makes more profit than you daily. She can buy Ponmo for 2,000 and sell it for 7,000 to 8,000, which adds up to around 20,000–25,000 weekly. Meanwhile, the POS earns much less.”

Other comments highlighted the irony of mocking someone now thriving in business:

“You were my senior too… and now you’re at a POS. Karma, atasa! 😂😂😂”
“You’re doing POS, she’s selling Ponmo, and still she’s making more. Unbelievable!”

The video has reignited discussions on social media about financial success, humility, and the different ways people pursue livelihoods.
