“Poverty responsible for insecurity in northern Nigeria” – Abayomi Nurain

Abayomi Nurain Mumuni, a prominent figure in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has identified poverty and the scarcity of economic opportunities as the primary causes of the ongoing insecurity in northern Nigeria.

In a statement released on Saturday, Mumuni emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to addressing this issue.

According to his media aide, Rasheed Abubakar, Mumuni proposed that the government invest in economic development projects, facilitate job creation, and prioritize infrastructural improvements in order to combat the prevailing insecurity in the region.

“Addressing the issue of insecurity in northern Nigeria requires a multi-faceted approach that tackles the root causes of the problem. Here are some potential solutions. By tackling the root causes of insecurity, promoting sustainable development, and fostering inclusive and peaceful societies, we can work towards a future where all individuals in northern Nigeria can live in safety and prosperity.”
