Primeboy Denies Involvement in Mohbad’s Death, Shares Emotional Account

Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Primeboy and a close friend of late singer Mohbad, has broken his silence regarding the widespread speculations linking him to the singer’s tragic death.

In a heartfelt interview with activist VeryDarkMan, Primeboy firmly denied having any physical altercation with Mohbad, insisting there was no fight, injury, or incident involving broken glass, as alleged by the public.

He recounted their last moments together, revealing that Mohbad insisted on stepping out of their car to meet a group of area boys despite being advised against it.

Primeboy said he also attempted to involve Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, to calm the situation. However, this led to tension between him and Mohbad, who asked him to leave the vehicle. “I apologized for getting involved in their family issue, but he still told me to get down,” Primeboy recounted.

Days later, Primeboy said he was shocked to wake up to the news of Mohbad’s death. “I was sleeping when a friend woke me and told me Mohbad had died. I was confused. I called his dad immediately,” he said.

He also criticized the police for declaring him wanted without prior invitation or interrogation. “Even in custody, officers told me they didn’t believe I had any hand in his death,” he said.

Primeboy concluded by expressing his pain over being wrongly accused and said the experience has left him deeply affected. He maintains his innocence and insists he was only trying to support a friend during a difficult moment.
