Regina Daniels’ Family Demands Ned Nwoko Accept Returned Bride Price
The family members of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels have publicly addressed her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, urging him to accept the return of her bride price and to cease alleged acts of intimidation toward her relatives.
This development follows ongoing reports of tension in the actress’ marriage. Recent claims suggest that Ned Nwoko allegedly had Regina’s elder siblings arrested after they refused to return to him, while her mother accused him of using police to assault her children.
In a statement shared by filmmaker Stanley Ontop, Regina’s kinsmen emphasized that marriage is not by force. They noted that according to tradition, once a woman chooses to leave, her family is expected to return the bride price—a step they claim to have already taken. However, Nwoko has reportedly refused to acknowledge the gesture, prolonging the dispute.
The family further explained that if Nwoko continues to decline the returned bride price, customary law permits them to deposit it at a recognized location, which they are prepared to do. They also condemned what they described as oppressive actions against relatives, labeling the arrests and intimidation as unacceptable.

Concluding their message, Regina Daniels’ kinsmen issued a 48-hour ultimatum for Nwoko to accept the bride price and ensure the immediate release and safety of all affected family members.
