Sanwo-Olu Chosen as Chairman of South-West Governors Forum.

During a meeting held in Lagos on Monday, the governors of the South-West region of Nigeria appointed Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, as the new Chairman of the South-West Governors’ Forum.

The meeting took place at the Lagos House in Alausa. Sanwo-Olu, speaking to reporters after the meeting, confirmed his appointment and did not provide any details regarding the ongoing minimum wage dispute between the Federal Government and Organised Labour.

He stated that the governors are awaiting the outcome of negotiations between the two parties. This appointment comes after the unfortunate passing of the previous Chairman, Rotimi Akeredolu, who was the Governor of Ondo State.
