Shaffy Bello Celebrates RMD with Heartfelt Tribute, Recalls Her Early Dreams of Acting Alongside Him

Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has warmed hearts with a touching tribute to her longtime colleague and screen legend, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), in celebration of his birthday.

Taking to social media, Shaffy shared a deeply personal reflection on how her once-distant dream of working with RMD eventually became a beautiful reality. She recalled her years living in the United States, during which she often fantasized about one day sharing the screen with the charismatic actor.

“I remember while living in the States, hoping and fantasizing that one day I’ll share the screen with you,” she wrote.

Shaffy reminisced about RMD and his wife visiting the U.S. during a time when his wife was focused on family life. Back then, the idea of acting beside RMD seemed like a far-fetched wish. But life, she said, gave her far more than she could have imagined.

“Look at us now! Look at me now! The universe gave me more than my fantasy could contain,” she added.

In her tribute, Shaffy praised RMD not only for his immense talent and influence in Nollywood but also for his mentorship and ability to lead by example. She encouraged him to continue “teaching and showing the way” for younger and aspiring actors.

“Happy Birthday, King. Keep teaching us… and for those who care to watch, keep showing us. We are watching,” she concluded.
