Shank Comics Announces Shift from Skit Making, Eyes Bigger Opportunities After Wizkid Concert

Nigerian content creator Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, popularly known as Shank Comics, has officially announced that he has moved on from making skits.

The revelation came during a chat with fellow creators Carter Efe and Sydney Talker at Wizkid’s concert held at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California.

Shank Comics, who was expected to livestream the concert on June 22, 2025, also had the chance to meet and share the stage with singer Asake.

During a video call, Carter Efe and Sydney Talker teased Shank for not taking advantage of the event to create content alongside Wizkid.

Calmly, Shank responded, “I no longer think like that. I’m no longer a skit maker,” signalling a change in his creative direction. The surprising response elicited laughter from his colleagues, reflecting their surprise at his evolving career path.

Beyond comedy skits, Shank Comics is now Nigeria’s top Twitch streamer and recently clinched a $10,000 (₦16 million) prize from Kai Cenat’s “Streamer University,” an initiative supporting his growth in the streaming space.
