Shehu Sani Alleges Plot to Topple Tinubu’s Govt.

Former federal lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani raised concerns over the flying of the Russian flag during protests in Kano, Zamfara, and other northern states, suggesting that it might be part of a plan to overthrow President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Reports emerged of EndBadGovernance protesters displaying foreign flags in northern regions, with video evidence showing individuals raising the Russian flag and advocating for military intervention in Nigeria.

Law enforcement agencies such as the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Department of State Services (DSS) have made multiple arrests related to this issue as a response to the situation.

In a recent appearance on Channels Television, Shehu Sani discussed how the distribution of money and Russian flags to youths a day before a protest indicated an ulterior motive beyond merely critiquing government policies.

According to Sani, the angle of inciting a government overthrow was apparent, as the orchestrated events aimed at fostering an environment of chaos and lawlessness rather than offering constructive critique of government actions.

Sani emphasized the need to address this misguided attempt to sow seeds of anarchy and disorder, highlighting the importance of speaking out against such actions.
