Six political parties gather in Kaduna to unseat APC.

Six political parties in Kaduna State came together on Thursday to plan their strategy to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress in the 2027 general elections.

The summit, organized by the African Democratic Congress, focused on the importance of a strong political party structure in sustaining democracy.

The event was attended by the New Nigeria People’s Party, the People’s Redemption Party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, the Social Democratic Party, the KOWA Party, as well as the Inter-Party Advisory Council and the Coalition of United Political Parties.

The summit’s chairman, Lawal Nalado, highlighted the hardships faced by Nigerians and emphasized the need for opposition parties to mobilize voters at the grassroots level and promote the idea that politics should be about voting for candidates who will improve society, rather than being influenced by money, religion, or ethnicity.

He denied rumors that the summit was intended to form a merger or coalition among the parties.
