Social Media Activist VeryDarkMan Leads Protest Blocking Dangote Trucks in Edo State Over Accident Victims

Auchi, Edo State Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM) spearheaded a protest on Monday in Auchi, Edo State targeting Dangote trucks.

Protesters blocked Dangote vehicles from using the roads, demanding the company acknowledges and fully takes responsibility for victims of recent road accidents involving its trucks.

The demonstration, marked by roadblocks and placards drew attention to the perceived negligence of Dangote’s fleet operations, which activists say have endangered lives and caused significant harm to innocent commuters and residents.

VDM, a well-known figure for his activism across social media platforms, called on Dangote Group to step up and provide justice and compensation for affected families.

We are not against Dangote, but we demand accountability and safety reforms to prevent further tragedies, VDM stated during the protest.

Residents of Auchi expressed support for the cause citing a rise in accidents involving heavy-duty trucks and calling for stricter regulations and safer road practices.

Dangote Group has yet to issue an official response to the protest and the demands put forward by the activists.

However the event has renewed calls across the region for stronger enforcement of transport safety laws and corporate responsibility from large companies operating logistics fleets.

Authorities in Edo State are monitoring the situation and have urged peaceful dialogue between stakeholders to resolve the impasse and ensure the safety of all road users.
