Sophia Momodu Slams Critic, Says Imade Won’t Be Used as ‘Bargaining Chip’ Over Davido’s Birthday Absence

Media personality Sophia Momodu, mother of singer Davido’s first daughter, Imade, has fired back at a social media user who accused her of stopping the child from attending Davido’s 33rd birthday celebration.

The drama began after a Snapchat user suggested that Sophia intentionally prevented Imade from joining the family event, which was held in Atlanta and attended by close friends, relatives, and Davido’s second daughter, Hailey.

Responding strongly, Sophia addressed the claims on her Snapchat story, where she condemned what she described as a decade-long cycle of false narratives about her and her daughter. She made it clear that while she can handle personal criticism, she draws the line whenever her child’s name is used to fuel online drama.

She wrote:
“For over 10 years, you people have pushed this false narrative. I try to be graceful, but I am a very protective mother. Say whatever you want about me, that’s fine. But leave my child alone. Imade is not a bargaining chip for her mother to conform.”

Sophia also called out certain blogs for spreading misleading information about her daughter and hinted that she plans to pursue legal action against anyone who continues to circulate false reports about Imade’s welfare.
