Sowore Declares He Won’t Join Atiku and Obi’s Coalition for 2027 Elections.

Omoyele Sowore, leader of the Take-it-Back Movement, has firmly stated that he will not be part of the coalition being formed by former presidential candidates Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Peter Obi of the Labour Party for the upcoming 2027 presidential election.

During an appearance on Arise TV’s Politics Today, Sowore expressed his refusal to align with the Social Democratic Party (SDP) as well.Sowore emphasized the necessity for a coalition among the oppressed, criticizing previous alliances formed in 2013 and 2015 that ultimately led to the rise of the APC.

He stated, “Joining another coalition with the same individuals responsible for Nigeria’s current plight is an injustice to the Nigerian people.”

Atiku, alongside Obi and former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, recently announced their coalition’s intentions to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the next election.

During a press conference, Atiku warned against political leaders prioritizing personal interests over the nation’s democratic principles, cautioning that the future of Nigeria’s democracy is at stake, not just in the context of Rivers State.
