The National treasurer Senior Staff Association of Nigeria university (SSANU) Comr. Sir Uche Nwokeji (KSJI), commended the newly elected executive while speaking with ESUT Monitor at the Senate Chamber, Enugu State University of Science and Technology.

He stated that he was present as a National officer to witness and participate in the election being held that day, and he thanked God for a successful, free, and fair election. “Congratulations to the South East Zonal Treasurer, South East Zonal Secretary, and South East Zonal Women Coordinator for their emergence as the new executive in the South East,” he said.

He further stated that today’s election shows that God is with them and will not leave them. “We believe that by the end of this tenure as zonal officers, the South East will be a better place where people will ask, ‘How are we doing it?’ It has been happening before, and there have been no troubles before us,” he said.

Dr. Njideka Nwagwu, the emeritus zonal officer of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, also expressed her happiness about the zonal election. “It is our own event, and we give God glory; it has actually moved well. We are happy to have given birth to our new executives of the Zone, and to God be the glory, it has ended with praise,” she appreciated.

She commended the South East zonal election, stating that there was a positive change, peace, and good conduct during the election. “There is what I call continuity; we have planned for continuity. Our prayers are for them to do better than us. As long as God and the zone are concerned, we believe and know that the new executive will take the Zone to another higher height,” she said.
