SSANU South-East holds her Zonal General Meeting and Election

Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) South East Zone, on Friday, 13th December, 2024 conducted her general meeting and election.
The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) held this event at Senate Chamber, Enugu State University of Science and Technology and Enugu State.
There were in attendance, personalities from National level who graced the event,
The National Vice Chairman, Engr. Comr. Okechukwu Animba, the National treasurer Comr. Uche Nwokeji (KSJI) National Women Coordinator among others.
Committee was created to ensure free and fair election during this exercise of membership Right.
The winners of the conducted election announced by the National officers were:
Comr. Peter Linus Akata from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Who emerges the Zonal Treasurer,Comr. Onyeabuchi Mpanuga from Alex Ekwueme Federal University who emerges national Secretary.
The Zonal Women Coordinator; Comr. Seline Uzoamaka from Micheal Ọkpara University of Agriculture Umudike.
The SSANU South East Zonal chairman, Engr. Comr. Okechukwu Animba in an interview with him says “We thank God for a day like this, as the most peaceful zone in Nigeria, having conducted this election free and fair with the people’s choice. Indeed, power belongs to God; He chooses who He wishes to give,” he said.
Comr. Animba also added that he will work with a committee system which professionals from different fields will in their different fields showcase what they have and this building the association more.
The participants of the meeting were pleased to have taken part in the election as it was reviewed “Free and fair” and happy that everything ended well.
The winners expressed there happiness for being trusted with this position, and pledged to elevated and gịve out there best for the Association.
Ọne of the winners Comr. Seline Uzoamaka of Micheal Okpara University of agriculture Umudike. During the interview, she said “it was by the special grace of God, I came out for the Women co-ordinator South East Zone and emerged as the winner. Am happy about it”, she stated.
Furthermore, she thanked the women who supported her, stating “Although they were few that came but I was shown a lot of love by them. On starting the election, I believed that the women will be there for me and they did turned out to be there for me” . I am happy to be the new ‘ Women Co-ordinator South East zone today.
