“Stop Sending Female Children to School, Invest in Trades – Nigerian Man

A Nigerian man has sparked debate after advising parents to stop sending their daughters to school if they cannot afford the fees.

In a viral video on social media, he said, “Nigerian parents, if you guys know that you cannot afford the school fees of your female children, abeg make una no dey send female children to school.”

He suggested that instead of sending a girl to school without proper financial support, parents should invest the money in teaching her a trade.

“It is better to train a girl in a trade, open a shop for her, and ensure she becomes skilled at what she does, rather than sending her to school and leaving her stranded,” he explained.

The man further warned that some parents force their children into tertiary institutions but fail to provide adequate support, pushing some girls into dangerous paths such as involvement with yahoo boys, ritualists, or turning to hookups and other risky activities.

He noted that even while in school, some girls end up sending money back home instead of receiving support.

In conclusion, he urged parents who cannot fully fund their daughters’ education to instead establish them in a trade to secure their future.
