Tennis legend Rafael Nadal has announced his retirement from professional tennis at the age of 38, concluding an illustrious career that includes 22 Grand Slam titles and a record 14 French Open victories. The announcement was made via a heartfelt video on social media on October 10, 2024, where Nadal expressed his decision to step away from the sport after the upcoming Davis Cup finals in Malaga, Spain, scheduled for November 19-21.
Nadal’s career has been marked by remarkable achievements, including being ranked world No. 1 for a total of 209 weeks and ending as the year-end No. 1 five times.

He has won a total of 92 ATP singles titles and earned an Olympic gold medal in 2008. Known as the King of Clay, Nadal’s dominance on the surface is unparalleled, making him one of the most decorated players in tennis history.
