Terry G responds to death rumours, says “the devil made me successful”

Nigerian singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has debunked rumours of his death, confirming that he is alive, healthy, and in good condition.

In a now-deleted video shared on his social media page, the “Akpako Master” dismissed the viral reports and expressed gratitude to his fans for their concern. He also used the opportunity to clarify statements he made in a previous podcast interview about his beliefs and career.

Terry G revisited an old clip from The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he openly stated that he sings for the devil since his music is secular and not gospel. He explained that his kind of music does not glorify God, adding that his success in the industry came from the devil.

In his words: “My phone has been buzzing since morning. People have been calling to check up on me because they saw something online about my death. Please stop spreading such news. I am doing very fine. And for those sharing that video of me serving the devil, I said it clearly — I am not a gospel musician. I sing for the devil; that’s my business. The devil made me successful.”

Despite his controversial statement, Terry G assured fans that he remains sound and healthy, while urging people to stop circulating false reports about his death.
