The cost of chairmanship aspiration forms in PDP set at N10m.
The Adamawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced its timetable for the upcoming local government election, following the release of the general timetable by the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC).
The PDP revealed that the nomination and expression of interest forms for party members interested in running for chairman will cost a total of N10 million, with N9 million allocated to the nomination form and N1 million to the expression of interest form.
Conversely, councillorship aspirants will need to purchase their own forms at a total cost of N120,000, comprising of N100,000 for the nomination form and N20,000 for the expression of interest form.
The PDP chairman also stated that there will be a 50% reduction in the cost of these forms for women and physically challenged party members.
The PDP’s timetable aligns with ADSIEC’s schedule, with the sales of nomination forms taking place from June 7-12, 2024, followed by the submission of completed forms on June 13-14, and the screening of aspirants on June 15-16.
