TikTok Star Mainly Mannie Reveals HIV Diagnosis, Says He Contracted It from Ex
Popular TikTok creator, Mainly Mannie, has opened up about his health status, revealing that he has been diagnosed with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
In a heartfelt video shared with his 1.4 million followers, Mannie disclosed that he received the diagnosis during the summer and celebrated his recent birthday while hospitalized.
Despite the emotional weight of the news, he described the moment as “sweet,” saying he felt “lucky and blessed” to still be alive.
Speaking on how he contracted the virus, Mannie explained that he got infected through his ex-partner, whose identity he chose not to reveal. He admitted that although he noticed some symptoms, he ignored them because he was deeply in love.
“Life has been trying to take me out lately — from accidents, sickness, and then finding out I had HIV during the summer. I’m not the victim. My ex gave me this, and I didn’t know. I had signs, but I was so deep in love,” he shared.
Mannie also gave an update on his treatment, revealing that his medication costs about $4,000 per month but that his health has been steadily improving.
“I feel way better. I feel like myself again — like the Boss and CEO I am,” he said confidently, adding that he plans to start a foundation to raise awareness and support others living with the condition.
The revelation has sparked emotional reactions across social media, with fans praising his courage for speaking openly about his diagnosis and using his platform to inspire others.
