Afrobeats star Timaya has taken a swipe at veteran singer Eedris Abdulkareem, stating that he is not respected in the music industry due to his talkative nature.

In a recent interview with Naija FM, Lagos, Timaya downplayed comparisons between his personality and Abdulkareem’s, emphasizing that he doesn’t talk or behave like the veteran singer.

Timaya attributed Abdulkareem’s lack of respect to his tendency to talk excessively, adding that he prefers to earn respect through his actions rather than fear.

The singer also discussed his past relationship with Abdulkareem, describing it as a typical boss-apprentice dynamic during his time serving in Abdulkareem’s band.
