Tinubu Reveals Moment He Almost Quit Presidential Race.

President Bola Tinubu has disclosed that he almost dropped out of the 2023 presidential race after a relative questioned his decision to run, citing the country’s economic struggles and his own family’s financial difficulties.

During a special Iftar held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu shared that a relative visited him at 3:30 am, asking for N50,000 to buy food for their uncle, who didn’t have enough cash due to the currency shortage.

The relative expressed doubts about Tinubu’s chances of winning, but Tinubu remained resolute. However, he admitted that the encounter made him consider quitting the race.

It was Aminu Masari and others who encouraged him to stay in the running Tinubu also acknowledged the challenges he faced after assuming office, including economic uncertainty, and making difficult decisions like removing the fuel subsidy.
