Tiwa Savage Ends 11-Year Partnership with Manager Mekka Millions Appoints New Management
Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has officially ended her professional relationship with her longtime manager, Kemi “Mekka” Akunyili, after 11 years of collaboration.
The singer announced the split on her Instagram story, warning fans, promoters and the public to cease contacting Mekka for bookings as she will no longer be liable for any financial transactions made through him.
Tiwa revealed that despite multiple earlier notices, some promoters continued to engage Mekka Millions for her bookings, prompting her to make a public clarification to protect her fans and business partners. She declared that any bookings made outside her new management team will be considered void and any money lost through such transactions will be at the risk of the payers.
As she moves forward, Tiwa Savage introduced Vanessa Amadi as her new manager and directed all future booking communications to her.
The transition marks the end of a significant era as Mekka Millions had taken over Tiwa’s managerial duties 11 years ago from her ex-husband Tee Billz.
The singer expressed frustration over the confusion caused by ongoing contacts with her former manager and emphasized her resolve to no longer associate with Mekka.
Though she typically avoids discussing personal matters openly on social media she felt compelled to address the issue to safeguard her professional interests.
This management change comes amid evolving dynamics in Tiwa’s career, and the public awaits to see how this new chapter unfolds professionally.
