Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has announced a slate of exciting new film projects for 2025, headlined by the highly anticipated historical drama Iyalode.

Building on the continued success of her recent box office hits Alakada: Bad and Alakada: Boujee, Abraham is poised to further solidify her status as a leading figure in Nigerian cinema.

The film features a strong ensemble cast including Bukky Wright, Kehinde Bankole, Gabriel Afolayan, Muyiwa Ademola, and Wale Ojo. Entirely shot in Yoruba, Iyalode embraces culturally rooted storytelling which has resonated strongly with audiences and critics alike.

Following its release, Iyalode quickly claimed the top spot at the Nigerian box office for multiple consecutive weekends, grossing over ₦231 million in its initial weeks and outperforming major international releases.
