Tragedy at Lagos Beach: Nigerian Driver Drowns During Outing With Indian Expatriates

A Nigerian driver, identified only as Kingsley, has drowned during a beach outing with two Indian nationals, employees of the Dangote Group, at Tarkwa-Bay Beach in Lagos.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on Sunday when Kingsley reportedly entered the water and was swept away by strong currents. Despite rescue efforts by beachgoers and emergency responders, he could not be revived.

The Indian expatriates immediately reported the incident to police at Tarkwa-Bay Division, and recovery operations are still ongoing as of the latest reports.

Authorities are working to confirm the victim’s full identity, while the Lagos State Police spokesperson has yet to issue an official comment.
