Trump Earns Global Praise as Uzbekistan President Calls Him ‘President of the World
Uzbekistan’s President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has stirred global attention after referring to United States President Donald J. Trump as the “President of the World” during a recent diplomatic meeting.
The remark came amid bilateral discussions following Trump’s announcement of a major U.S.–Uzbekistan trade and economic partnership, signaling a renewed commitment to strengthen ties between both nations.
During the exchange, Mirziyoyev praised Trump’s past leadership and peace efforts, crediting him with preventing multiple global conflicts during his tenure in office.
“In Uzbekistan, we call you the President of the World. You’ve done a lot. You were able to stop eight wars,”
Mirziyoyev reportedly said, expressing deep respect for the former U.S. leader.
The Uzbek president also voiced confidence in Trump’s ability to mediate and end the ongoing Russia–Ukraine conflict, describing him as uniquely positioned to restore peace.
“I’m convinced that the war between Russia and Ukraine can be stopped only by you. We are very hopeful for that,” he added.
In response, Trump welcomed the remarks and commended Uzbekistan’s “highly respectful and visionary” position, emphasizing his commitment to international peace and cooperation.
Earlier in the meeting, Trump announced details of an “incredible Trade and Economic Deal” involving over $35 billion in investments over the next three years and projections of more than $100 billion within a decade.
The agreement is expected to expand into key sectors including critical minerals, aviation, infrastructure, agriculture, and information technology, with promises of increased employment and long-term economic collaboration.
“I want to thank Uzbekistan’s highly respected President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev,” Trump said.
“We look forward to a long and productive relationship between our countries.”
The partnership marks one of the most significant steps toward strengthening economic and diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Uzbekistan in recent years.
