Trump’s Genocide Claim Gets Nod from APC’s Adamu Garba

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Garba, has lent support to President Donald Trump’s controversial claim that genocide is occurring in Nigeria.

Garba spoke out following Trump’s designation of Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern.” He stressed that the scale of killings across the country, targeting defenseless people in their homes and villages, can only be described as genocide.

Reflecting on past events, Garba recalled that in 2014, when the APC was still in opposition, party members visited the White House to seek assistance regarding mass killings in Nigeria.

He clarified, however, that while he agrees with Trump’s assessment of the situation, labeling it as a “Christian genocide” would be inaccurate, noting that both Christians and Muslims have suffered from the violence.
