Nigerian rapper Eedris Abdulkareem has condemned the National Broadcasting Commission’s (NBC) ban on his song “Tell Your Papa,” which criticizes President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Abdulkareem accuses the government of attempting to silence truth and suppress criticism, likening the ban to the 2004 censorship of his protest song “Jaga Jaga.”

He expressed his frustration on Instagram, stating that the government’s actions are “insensitive and vindictive.”

The ban has sparked concerns about artistic freedom and the government’s stance on dissenting voices in Nigeria.
