UK vs Nigeria Roads: Nedu’s Comparison Stirs Social Media
Media personality Nedu has stirred reactions on social media after comparing roads in the UK and Nigeria.
In a viral video on X (formerly Twitter), Nedu was seen standing on a narrow road with cars parked on both sides. Stretching his hands almost to touch the cars, he remarked on how narrow the road was, saying it was not wide enough for two cars to pass.
He insisted that Nigeria, often called the “Giant of Africa,” should not be compared to the UK, claiming that Nigerian roads are wider and can accommodate two cars comfortably.
The clip triggered various reactions online. Sheuuuuu wrote, “I don’t even mind the tiny roads, but did you see potholes everywhere. Big-for-nothing Giant of Africa.”
Favour commented, “Giant Dey run go meet… everything good you want in life UK you only go Nigeria when you die.”
Mr Prolific added, “That is a one-way road, you can’t enter from the same direction you exited… If the same UK had the natural resources Nigeria has, the streets would be made with gold.”
Others argued that Nedu’s comparison was unfair. Carla said, “This is not a main road; it’s a residential two-way road… but roads in Nigeria are serious business… he’s not making a fair comparison.”
Oghale Osagie highlighted the difference in driving culture, stating, “At least they are organized and drive carefully… not like Nigeria, where big roads exist but drivers often disobey rules, especially in Lagos.”
The video has reignited discussions about road infrastructure and driving culture in Nigeria compared to the UK.
