Umahi Backs Nwifuru for Re-election in Ebonyi State in 2027

Former Ebonyi State Governor and current Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has expressed his support for Governor Francis Nwifuru’s bid for a second term in 2027.

Umahi made this endorsement during a visit from members of the Izzi National Youth Forum, who were at his Umunagu Uburu home for a Christmas celebration.

He praised the youth leaders, including National President Barrister Andrew Chibueze Elom, for their surprise visit and emphasized the importance of unity within the party.

Umahi affirmed his commitment to ensure that Nwifuru completes an uninterrupted eight years as governor, stating, “Even if there are challenges, my bond with Nwifuru and God is strong and unbreakable.

“Umahi confidently remarked on Nwifuru’s humility and capability, insisting that he has not found a better successor. Elom, on behalf of the forum, thanked Umahi for his commitment to handing over the governorship to an Izzi man and urged him to continue guiding Nwifuru for a successful administration.
