UNN Community Mourns DJ Brownlex After Fatal Accident En Route to Davido Concert

Chrisantus Chukwuebuka, popularly known as DJ Brownlex, tragically died in a car accident while traveling to Davido’s concert in Enugu.

The 300-level Economics student at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), was well-known on campus under his stage name.

The accident occurred on the evening of Saturday, November 1, when the bus carrying Chukwuebuka and other students reportedly departed late and lacked proper headlights.

The vehicle collided with a stationary trailer along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.

Both Chukwuebuka and the bus driver died instantly. Several other passengers sustained serious injuries, including two 300-level students who remain unconscious and a final-year student receiving treatment for a severe brain injury.

The injured are currently being cared for at Shanahan Hospital in Nsukka.

Chukwuebuka was laid to rest on Sunday, November 2. Videos circulating on social media show an older female relative grieving deeply, calling his name while touching his body in an open casket, reflecting the deep sorrow felt by family and friends.
