“US Soldiers Won’t Return Home If They Invade Nigeria” – Portable Warns Donald Trump

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has responded to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent warning about possible military intervention in Nigeria over the alleged killings of Christians.

During a TikTok live session with a Nigerian-born U.S. soldier, the Zazuu Zeh crooner cautioned American forces not to underestimate Nigeria, insisting that an invasion would end disastrously.

Portable said, “If U.S. soldiers invade Nigeria, they won’t go back home. You see all those Boko Haram people you’re hearing about? They are people’s fathers, brothers, and husbands. Most of them joined because of hunger.”

The singer further claimed that Nigeria’s insurgent groups have powerful backers, alleging that “some sponsors among the elites” both within and outside the country fund their operations. According to him, the fight against terrorism in Nigeria is far more complex than outsiders believe.

Portable’s remarks quickly went viral, sparking waves of reactions across social media.

One user, Ladi, wrote, “I just believe say wetin people dey talk say Portable never finish him drug for Yabaleft na true.” Another joked, “He got me rolling when he said, ‘let’s talk like educated person.’”

Some critics dismissed his comments as unintelligent, while others mocked the seriousness with which he delivered his warning. One comment read, “The victims no be people fathers, husbands, and children abi?”

The viral moment follows renewed tension between the U.S. and Nigeria after Donald Trump threatened “swift and decisive military action” if President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration failed to curb alleged religious killings.

Portable’s video has since circulated widely, with many Nigerians reacting to his blunt and humorous take on the international controversy.
