Verydarkman Accuses Iyabo Ojo of Backtracking on Public Apology Deal to Naira Marley over Mohbad Saga

Controversial media figure Verydarkman has reignited tensions surrounding the late Mohbad’s death, alleging that actress Iyabo Ojo reneged on a promise to publicly apologise to singer Naira Marley and help clear his name.

In a lengthy exposé shared online, activist and influencer Verydarkman revealed that his primary goal in the ongoing Mohbad case was to ensure that Naira Marley was vindicated after being vilified in the public eye.

He claimed this mission took a major turn after a meeting at the National Cybercrime Centre (NCCC) in Abuja, where he had a sit-down with Naira Marley and later encountered Iyabo Ojo.

Verydarkman disclosed that he was initially skeptical of Naira Marley’s claim that Iyabo Ojo had privately asked for forgiveness.

However, he alleged that he was ushered into a room where he met Iyabo Ojo and her lawyer, who purportedly proposed a deal: Iyabo would publicly apologise to Naira Marley and promote his next single to help repair his reputation.

“Naira Marley agreed to forgive her, but he warned me she’s manipulative. He wasn’t sure she would follow through,” Verydarkman said.

He detailed a tense meeting that followed, involving Iyabo Ojo, Tonto Dikeh, Sam Larry, legal representatives, and police officers. At the meeting, according to him, Iyabo Ojo admitted that her initial accusations against Naira Marley and Sam Larry were emotionally driven and based on unverified viral videos.

“She said she acted on emotion and apologized. Sam Larry also demanded an apology and she gave it, admitting her claims were influenced by social media,” he stated.

Verydarkman further alleged that Iyabo Ojo requested two weeks to prepare an official public statement. But within five days, no apology had been issued instead, stories emerged that Naira Marley had pleaded with Iyabo, which he claims was a deliberate misinformation campaign.

“Then her shop caught fire and suddenly the media was saying Naira begged her. That’s when I knew she had flipped the narrative. It was calculated damage control,” he added.

To justify his leak of private WhatsApp chats implicating Ojo, Verydarkman said he wanted to expose her for allegedly betraying the agreement reached at the NCCC.

“She begged in private but flipped the story in public. I leaked the chat so the truth would come out,” Verydarkman asserted.
