Vice President Kashim Shettima Launches Seventh MSME Clinic in Aurora to Boost Entrepreneurial Growth
Vice President Kashim Shettima has officially launched the seventh edition of the Expanded National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Clinic in Aurora reinforcing the federal government’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and fostering inclusive economic growth across Nigeria.
Addressing participants, Vice President Shettima emphasized the critical role MSMEs play in Nigeria’s economy, noting that they account for over 90 percent of businesses contribute more than 45 percent to the national economy, and employ upwards of 60 million Nigerians.
He described MSMEs as the foundation and backbone of the nation’s economic development essential to poverty alleviation and national prosperity.
The MSME clinic provides a vital platform for entrepreneurs to engage directly with regulatory agencies financial institutions and business support organizations to address challenges access funding opportunities and showcase their products.
Shettima highlighted the government’s various support mechanisms including the disbursement of unconditional grants of N250,000 to outstanding small business owners identified during the clinics and intervention funds designed to provide affordable financing.

The event attracted entrepreneurs from several states, who displayed a broad spectrum of locally made products, reflecting the vibrancy and innovation within Nigeria’s small business sector.
Government officials and state governors attending the clinic commended the initiative as a revolutionary step towards unlocking the full potential of the Nigerian economy through MSME growth and development.
They reiterated their commitment to policies and partnerships aligned with the federal government’s agenda to build a prosperous, inclusive economy.
The Seventh MSME Clinic in Aurora builds on previous clinics across the country and continues to pave the way for stronger public-private collaboration, focused on strengthening Nigeria’s economic fabric through grassroots enterprise empowerment.
